<p>The composition contains a non-enzymatic modified protein in combination with 0.1 to 90 % by weight of surface-active agent. The protein has an average molecular weight above 5000 and an isoionic point above pH 6. As the consequence of the modification, it contains one or more of the following functional groups: <IMAGE> In these, C, N, O and S denote carbon, nitrogen, oxygen and sulphur atoms respectively, which are part of the unmodified initial protein, and -Q, -W-, -X-, -Y- and -Z- have the meanings stated in Claim 1. The composition protects hair and skin against the damaging effects of aggressive materials, especially detergents, and against disadvantageous climatic conditions.</p> |
