PURPOSE: To reduce the sliding friction resistance with the sole of an iron by composing a member for iron lubrication with a fabric substrate with a surface forming the coating selected out of a group composed of silicone elastomer and a resin substrate containing a lubricant and specifying all the weight of a coating. CONSTITUTION: An ironing board cover 12 is closely attached to an ironing board by squeezing and tying both the ends of a fastening string 29 through a peripheral string pass hole 28. A band-shaped part 14 is one part of a fabric substrate 12 and has the surface forming the coating selected out of the group composed of the silicone elastomer and the resin substrate containing the lubricant. All the weight of the coating is at least 3 g/m<2> . When using the member for iron lubrication, the iron heating the temperature of the sole within the range of 100 deg.C to 290 deg.C is slid on the upper surface of the fabric substrate forming the coating with ordinary pressure. When the iron is slid in one direction, since the sliding friction resistance of the iron is decreased by 20% to 50%, eve without performing the second pass, one piece of clothing can be ironed. |
