The push-button has a hollow cap-shaped head with a concave outer end for the user's finger and a seat inside it for one end of a helical spring. The other end of the spring fits into a small hollow cap that operates the switch's mechanism. The small cap fits inside the head and is held and guided by a closure ring sandwiched between the outer curved surface of the cap and the inner curved surface of the head. The ring is made of metal and is pressed into the heated assembly. The cap has external projectons to engage over ledges on the inside of the head.
