The safety lock has a cylinder core which rotates in the cylinder housing bore. The contact face between the cylinder core and the hole (2) walls consists of several sections which form pockets. Each groove is enclosed by two arms whose angular spacing is less than 45 deg. The bore (2) is a palin cylinder and the cylinder core (1) has on its outside surface longitudinal grooves or flats which form pockets with the housing bore cylinder wall. Ice water penetrating the lock is formed as thin longitudinal strips between the lock components, which are readily broken on operating the lock with the key. |
