<p>In a turn-and-tilt window, in the tilt position of the casement (2), a locking member (20) fastened to a longitudinally displaceable actuating cord (19) engages under a blocking nose (11) of a tilt bearing (7) screwed to the fixed frame (1) at the lower corner located on the same side as the fastening. This prevents an incorrect operation of the fitting in the tilt position of the casement (2), since, in an attempt at change-over on the operating handle, the operator notices the resistance caused by the engagement of the locking member (20) under and behind the blocking nose (11). However, there is the risk that the operator, by exerting force, will want to compel the operating handle to move. In that case, the actuating cord (19) can tear, and the casement (2) can then no longer be locked relative to the fixed frame (1). So that the fitting can continue to function, even when force is exerted, the blocking nose (11) of the tilt bearing (7) is provided with a predetermined breaking point (24) which can be formed by a severing slot (13). The tilt bearing (7) preferably consists of die-cast zinc. This ensures that, when force is exerted, the blocking nose (11) breaks off and the remaining fitting is protected against overloading and is still fully functional even after the blocking nose (11) has broken off.
