<p>The invention provides a thermoplastics cord comprising one or more strands, the or at least one strand being twisted along its length and relieved of stress, for example by heat treatment at 100 DEG to 160 DEG C for 5 to 20 minutes. The invention also includes the thermoplastics cord with its ends welded together to form an endless cord which can be utilised as a drive belt. The cord may be a single strand of rectangular cross-section. At least one strand may be provided with recesses or longitudinally extending grooves.</p> |
