A fault current protective switch is combined with a multipole line protective switch, which incorporates a summation current transformer and a release mechanism triggered by the sum of the currents. The phase conductors and the neutral conductor are connected in series with the terminals of the line protective switch. The summation current transformer is mounted in a housing section which is in front of the socket of the line protective switch. The housing section is as high as the socket. The cutout mechanism is fitted in the second section of the housing. The width of this section is equal to that of one of the poles.
