Road vehicle floor pan - is one piece plastics moulding including rear wheel arches, with fixings for both bumper bars

The floor pan for the body of a road vehicle, is a one piece plastics moulding. Beams (2) are fixed underneath the floor area (8) to provide the necessary strength. The sides of the floor pan (7) are moulded integrally to include the rear wheel arches (9, 9a) these having the required curved shape and no joints or corrosion traps. The outer edges are shaped to form a fixing for the vehicle side panels (9b). Fixings are incorporated in the floor pan to hold the front and rear bumper bars and part of the associated areas fitted with lights.
