PURPOSE:To permit ready detection of the display state of the discharge tube and also permit detection of flicker due to deterioration of the discharge tube itself by using an exclusive AND circuit taking the AND of an output signal of a discharge tube voltage converter circuit receiving the discharge tube voltage and a drive signal to a drive circuit.
