A flask for processes in which materials in the flask are to be mixed, comprises two chambers one above the other and connected by a constriction. The taper of the part of the constriction which is joined to the lower chamber makes an angle pref. 25 degrees with the horizontal. Problems associated with deposition of solids contd. in the materials being mixed, on the walls of the flask and not dissolving, are avoided. Automatic operation of a number of flasks is facilitated.
