<p>The transmission unit for the shafts of roller blinds incorporates a worm and worm-wheel. The teeth of the gear-wheels are cut to effect irreversible motion, obviating the transmission of reverse motion to the winding drum by way of the winding shaft. The two gear-wheels are set at intermediate points on cylindrical shafts and may be mounted in a through bolted two-piece housing. The housing pieces each have hexagonally countersunk bolt holes and are shaped internally to accommodate the gear wheels. Opposed recesses may house the worm with raised journal-bearing surfaces accommodating the worm-shaft axles and bush.</p> |
