An adapter assembly for mounting a pressurized aerosol dispensing container on a motor-driven automatic dispensing unit comprises a moulding 55, e.g. of polypropylene, with a skirt 59 which snap fits into the container valve cup 57, and has grooves 67 which slidably receive portions 68 of a U-shaped bracket 71 secured to the base plate 26 of the dispensing unit, the adapter assembly maintaining the container in a predetermined relationship relative to the dispensing unit so that the valve actuating button 73 is held under slight pressure by the dispensing unit actuating lever 48. Button 73 has sloping faces 85 in front of flat upper and side faces Fig. 2 (not shown), so that lever 48 is lifted as the container is slid into bracket 71. The button is guided by faces 72 on moulding 55. |
