<p>The metal band (2) is for use in the fabrication of sealing caps (3) for e.g. wine bottles, and has two rows of perforations (4a, 4b) at regular longitudinal intervals. The perforations serve to locate the band in a machine which cuts out the cap-shaped pieces (3) and locate in the central longitudinal zone (2a) of the band (2). The perforations may locate in the intervals between cap-cuttings (3), or as an alternative the cuttings may be brought closer together with one (4a) of the perforations in the tab or the cap (3). The perforated tab improves a finger grip on the tab and the perforations may be circular.</p> |
