<p>The wiper arm (23) is linked to the wiper blade (20) by one of a series of ratchet fittings (30, 31, 32) so that the rear of the wiper blades can be adjusted to suit different shapes of windscreen. The ratchet can be on the wiper blade or on the arm. The universal fitting provides a rapid adjustment to alter the field of wipe if e.g. the vehicle is driven in another country on the opposite side of the road. It also enables one size of wiper blade to fit a range of vehicles.</p> |
