Hand tool for crossing bank cheques - has forked handle carrying two star form wheels to provide indelible lines on paper

The hand tool enables bank cheques to be crossed with two indelible and unremovable lines to prevent fraud. It comprises a handle (3) in the form of a cylindrical tube, one end having two projecting arms forming a fork. This has double star wheels (1), rotating on an axis (2) through the fork arms. Inside the tubular handle is an inking roller (4, 6), the points of the star wheel indenting it to pick up ink as it rotates. Light inked impressions are left in the paper surface and the tool can be fitted into one end of a pen.
