[Also in Division F1] The blade pitch of a propeller, fan or bladed screw pump is adjusted by locating a dowel 20 in a selected pair of a plurality of pairs of recesses 18, 19 seated respectively in a propeller boss recess 11 and a blade root flange 12, the recesses of each pair being aligned in different pitch settings of the blade. Bolts in holes 17 secure the blade to the boss, the holes being elongated to provide further pitch adjustment. A number of pairs of recesses may be aligned in each pitch setting, each pair receiving a dowel. |
