The machine is for singling out tubes which are deposited in bundles on an off loading surface where the bundles are opened. The individual tubes slide transversely to a receiving opening of a guide slot. The tubes are guided to a discharge opening through which they are positioned on a conveyor. The off loading surface is positioned at the same height as an inclined support surface of the guide slot, and is formed by an entering section which is terminating in an end section with the discharge opening facing the conveyor. The end section of the guide slot is provided with a closure above which is mounted a brake for holding a tube following one positioned on the closure over the discharge opening.
