The apparatus is for the controlled exercising of the vaginal muscles. This mechanical pressure indicating gauge of the main patent is replaced by an electronic digital meter. A pressure chamber (7) connected to the apparatus has a membrane which actuates the plunger (30) of an electro-magnetic solenoid (31). The solenoid is connected to a detunable oscillator (32) and a fixed frequency oscillator (33) and to an integrator circuit in the form of a comparator (34). The comparator (34) is in turn connected to a counter (35) and a digital display unit (36). This provides an output indicating the displacement of the plunger which is dependent on the pressure in the chamber.
