Guiding and holding mechanism for rescue cage - locks cage automatically on turntable ladder after completion of ladder movements

The guiding and holding arrangement is used for a working or rescue cage suspended from a turntable ladder or from a telescopic mast. The cage and its support beam are linked with connecting elements which can be locked relative to each other. The time up to the stopping of the cage is very short. This ensures max. savings in the aligning and the setting time due to the automatic actuators of the locking arrangement in relation to the operation of the support beam. The locking arrangement is connected to a remote actuation mechanism. The latter is controlled from the operating stand of the turntable ladder. This actuator switches the locking arrangement automatically into locked position when the support beam rotating, extending, alignment or inclining movements are stopped. The actuating arrangement can be operated by electric motor, solenoid, hydraulically or by a pneumatic arrangement.
