Two of the basic xerographic units may be coupled by cable or an R.F. link and attached to receiver/ transmitter units, Fig. 5 (not shown). The cabinets for the optical units have matching openings permitting transmission of light rays and locking clamps are provided to maintain alignment. A rotatable mirror 18, Fig. 2 in the projection system in unit 10 may be aligned with each optical unit.
