1516201 Solid dye and optical brightener preparations CIBA-GEIGY AG 3 July 1975 [4 July 1974] 28098/75 Headings D1B and DIP Solid preparations soluble in cold water contain an adduct which is a hydrogenbridge complex formed from a dyestuff or an optical brightener containing in the molecule at least one -NH 2 , -NH 2 , -OH, -COOH, -SO 3 H, carboxylic acid amide group or sulphonic acid amide group, and an aprotic polar compound, and optionally further additive selected from diluents, dispersing agents and hydroscopic agents. Anionic, cationic and reactive dyes or optical brighteners or metal complex dyes are used and aprotic polar compounds are hexamethylphosphoric acid triamide, tetramethylurea, dimorpholinocarbonyl, N - methylpyrrolidone and dimethylacetamide. The ingredients of the composition may be melted together, the melt being cooled and reduced to small pieces, or they are disclosed in a solvent from which the adduct precipitates. |
