<p>The dual purpose tyre lever or hub disc extractor is also designed for use with a cranked wheel nut brace. The lever (1) has built on hook fittings (2, 5, 6) whereby it can be attached diagonally to the wheel brace effectively increasing the torque applicable to the wheel nut. The lever (1) is a length of square section steel bar blade shaped at one end and the other end carrying a forked head (3, 4). Two short lengths of channel section (5, 6) welded obliquely to the bar at intermediate points at e.g. 90 deg. with one another have their flanges projecting in the opposite direction to the legs (3, 4) of the forked head. The tool is used by engaging the vertical brace section with the head (2) engaging the offset brace section (15) with one (5) of the channels, and using the combined and extended leverage.</p> |
