Pressure roller - has mantle moving radially and held on carrier by the support and guided by a counter-roller

The construction of a pressure roller has an axial carrier with a rotating roller mantle held on the carrier by hydrostatic supports. The roller mantle is mounted on the carrier so that it can move in all radial directions. It is guided radially to the carrier only by teh support and >=1 of the counter rollers arranged against the roller mantle. The supports are so arranged that they can follow all the radial movements of the roller mantle. The design extends the range with which the pressure roller can follow the curve of a bowed counter-roller.
