Matrix element display unit - has square section hollow cell elements coupled to vertical and horizontal strip electrodes

An electro-static field display consisting of a matrix of elements, uses square section hollow tube at each matrix point. Two opposite internal walls of the tube are used as electrodes for the establishment of an electrostatic field. Conductors are formed by strip bands (S, Z) that are looped over pins. Each hollow tube cell has the electrode plates bonded to the strip conductors. All cells and strip band pins are secured to a base plate (G).
