Supply for electrically short balanced dipole - has unbalanced transformer circuit and separate balancing transformer

The short balanced dipole is supplied through an unbalanced line, with a tunable transformer circuit connected to both dipole halves, and a balancing transformer. A known unbalanced transformer circuit (7) is used, together with an also known balancing transformer (10) delivering equal, opposite phase output currents (i) independent from its output side connections. The unbalanced transformer circuit (7) is mounted in a conducting housing (13) which is itself part of the conduction path leading from one side loop and includes an earthed shield (5) for the transformer onput lead (6).
