Fastener for steel heald bands, plastic-sheathed steel cables or steel banding comprises a frame one side of which is encompassed by the end of the steel heald band, while on its other side a slotted screw with a nut clamps the steel heald band. By tightening the nut, the open screw slot encompasses the steel band, the frame is clamped to the slotted screw, and the nut is secured against loosening. A roof-shaped compression member is inserted between the slotted screw and the steel bank, to improve distribution of pressure between them. The frame may serve to transmit traction force by any shape at its free end, while the slotted screw is housed only in the recess of the frame. |
