<p>A method is given for culturing a bioculture in a broth or culture medium. The optimum culture conditions are maintained by replenishing or changing the culture medium in accordance with the pH. pH control may be effected by passing two different gas mixts. into the culture medium which control the latter's pH. The method is esp. applicable to those cultures whose growth is linked tothe surface of solid objects, e.g. diploid fibroblasts. By maintaining optimum conditions, reproducible results are obtainable. Economies in the use of the nutrient medium are also achieved.</p> |
