Cement clinker mfd. from low grade materials - with mechanical grinding and homogenisation

Cement clinker may be prepd. from as-mined materials, which because of their high water content and other physical properties are unsuitable for dry processing, and for which filtration after successful wet processing is also unsuitable. The raw materials are not dressed to raw powder, sludge or filter cake before burning, but are mechanically reduced and homogenised from the as-received condition and then fired with the original moisture content or after a pre-drying. Lower grade raw materials may be used. The energy input is also lower than with wet processing.
