<p>A gas heated forced convection oven has a cooking compartment (1) with a chamber (4) one side through which not gases enter, and then are discharged into another compartment (5) the other side. The gases are forced horizontally underneath to complete the circuit. The walls incorporated gas flow holes (2). The heated air/gas mixture travels through an orifice (11) to enter a restriction (15) in a horizontal tunnel (6) under the cooking compartment, travel along a funnel portion, the enter the first chamber (4). When discharged from the second chamber (5) the gases pass downwards to a fan (3) which forces the gases towards the restriction (15) again.
