Metal encapsulated h.v. switching cell, partic. for mining, comprises a h.v. appliance mounted on a wagon and fitted with electric plug contacts. It enables complete withdrawal of the h.v. appts. from the switching cell without involving the use of special auxiliary aids etc. The front-mounted door (21) of the cell - which is hinge-mounted at its lower end to open outwards - forms, when open, an extension of the floor (17) of the cell lying outside the cell itself, and the associated carrier or dog (30) is fitted with a sliding-botl (35) released against spring-force. |
