The practice mine has sound and smoke effects, the inner part (27) of its envelope having little resistance to weight. The detonator is actuated by deformation of the inner envelope which has cavities (28). In a recess (26) is a sleeve (29) holding the charge (36) and there is a separator (32) and an axial skirt (33) to guide a rod (42) which fires mechanically. The separator (32) forms two compartments (30, 31), one holding the charge and the other the clearing charge. In the separator are holes through which pass the fuse/primers.
