Coupler formed on radiation with heat or UV - rays acting with diazonium cpd is quaternary heterocyclic nitrogen cpd and/or hydrazone such as 1-hydroxyethyl-2,3,3-trimethyl-3-H-indolinium bromide or N'-(2,3-dimethyl-2-propanone)-N-hydroxyethylphenyl hydrazone; alternatively a methylene indoline such as 1,3,3-trimethyl-2-methylene indoline positioned in separate layer is transferred by heat to image layer. Premature coupling may be avoided by use of meltable inter-layer of polyvinylacetate, colophonium or ester rubber.
