<p>Collectign device is intended for the sediments of wines, treated by the champagne method, which are conc. in the neck of the bottle. Device comprises a supporting framework for the box contg. the bottles with their necks directed downward to the palette. The frame consits of two beams which are connected together and kept parallel by a central cross-piece; this has a pivot at its centre, one endof which rests on the ground to maintain the support in teh inclined position acording to which end of the frame rests on the ground. After a period the frame is tilted so that another beam touches the ground and so on to ensure that the sediment zone is distributed around the periphery of each bottle neck, bringing the sediments on to the corks. Device greatly reduces the amt. of handling necessary hitherto to bring the sediment to the bottle necks prior to expulsion.</p> |
