Central locking system for vehicle - has auxiliary locks with coupling to make its cylinder inaccessible on rotation of main cylinder

The entrance door locks, ignition lock and fuel tank cap lock of the vehicle have main (6) and auxiliary locking cylinders (7). The locking cylinder for the main key is arranged parallel to the auxiliary cylinder. A coupling (10), consisting of a spring piston (13) and a double bevel wheel (15) is fitted between the two lock cylinders and operated by a push rod (17). The main lock cylinder (6) has a cam (18) which rests underneath the spring piston (13). A 90 deg. rotation of the lock cylinder causes the cam to lift the sprung piston into a second position. The double bevel gear wheel meshes with the main cylinder in the first position and with the auxiliary cylinder (7) in the second position.
