Metallic anode for electrochemical processes It has an active covering layer, this layer consists chiefly or exclusively of borides of the transition metals from the 4th - 6th gps. of the Periodic Table. It contains the metal boride binder, adhesion agent and stabiliser: example noble metal and/or passivatable base metal, metal carbide and/or metal nitride and/or metal oxide. The anode nucleus consists of a passivatable metal e.g. Ti, Ta etc. It consists of a compressed and/or sintered mixture of a passivatable metal and a metal boride with and without additives. It is either made of Pt metal or has a Pt metal layer, and is made of plated metal e.g. Cu/Ti, Cu/Ta, Cu/Pt, Ti/Pt, Ta/Pt etc. |
