Load securing system for railway trucks - has pressure plates and separators suspended from running rails fixed to roof

The load is prevented from moving in the rail car by means of suspended pressure plates (3) and clamping straps (4). The load can be split if so required by separating plates (8). The pressure plates and separators are suspended from guide rails (9) fixed close to the roof. The pressure plates extend across the entire vehicle width and have horizontal slots. The slots are 100 mm in breadth and arranged at 400, 800 and 1400 mm above the loading surface. The slots start at the outer edges and extend for one third of the plates width. Vertical rails are provided to prevent the plates from twisting. Edge supports (15) are fitted to the pressure plates by spring hinges.
