The motor vehicle internal combustion engine has exhaust gas return system. The engine has inlet manifold with throttle valve operated by accelerator pedal. The exhaust system is connected to inlet manifold. The inlet manifold has second throttle valve actuated simultaneously by the accelerator pedal. The exhaust gas return pipe is connected to inlet manifold between the two throttle valves. A mechanical lever system ensures synchronisation of both throttle valve movements.
