The inside edges of the car wheels are fitted with turbine blades which are drived by ducted air from a duct under the car. The air is taken from either the slipstream or from the radiator blower. The extra thrust improves performance and reduces petrol consumption. A similar rotor can be fitted to the drive shaft as well as to the wheels. The wheels on each side can be fed via a common air duct with angled nozzles. The system provides a detectable improvement in fuel economy. |
