The portable bottle packing is made from a single strip of material, preferably cardboard, the cover, first sidewall, bottom, second sidewall and gluing lugs being in line. Flaps are attached to their sides to form the end walls. It is for use with bottles tapering towards the top. Seen in the lengthwise direction of the strip of material, the cover (1) is shorter than the bottom, so that the sidewalls(2) bear against the tapering bottles. The four end flaps (6) attached to the sidewalls each have a bending line, starting halfway up their lines of attachment, and extending obliquely upwards to the middle of their top edges. The upper part of each flap is folded inwards along this line until it bears against the bottle neck. The two flaps (8) attached to the cover act as reinforcing components for the packing, there being a bending line running along each at the middle, allowing it to be pressed inwards against the bottle neck.
|
