<p>A permanent magnet system for dynamic loudspeakers and microphones includes a radially magnetised ring magnet (N-S) and two pot core shells (3, 4). A tubular envelope member (6) defines the air gap (7) and completes the magnetic circuit. In one alternative embodiment an axial rod magnet (magnetised S-N-S) replaces the central portion of the pot cores whilst a ring member of soft magnetic material replaces the ring magnet. In another alternative embodiment, the same overall structure is retained, but the tubular envelope member (magnetised S-N-S) comprises the magnet. Again the ring magnet is replaced by a ring member of soft magnetic material. The magnet may be of circular, square or rectangular section.</p> |
