Drawers (2) are mounted one above the other on guides mounted at the side to raise or lower the spacing between the drawers and which consist of two interengaging metal runners (3, 4) of which one (3) is attached to the furniture frame and the other (4) is connected to the drawer (2) and engages in a groove (9) let into the side piece (8) of the drawer. This groove (9) is wider than the rubber (4) at least by the extent of the height displacement. The side piece (8) of the drawer has a cylindrical bolt (14) which has an eccentric threaded bore (18) so that a head screw (10, 11) placed from the outside into the front end of the rubber (4) can be screwed into the bore and thus secure the drawer. To raise or lower the front part of the drawer the screw is released turn the metal bolt turned whilst the rear part of the drawer remains supported on the runners. |
