<p>The tubes which are to be connected each have a flange (1.1, 2.1.), which is blended with a large radius into the outside dia. of the tube. Two connecting rings (3) are used with an inside dia. which is larger than the outside dia. of the flanges. The two rings are connected by screws (4). Two elastomer spring inserts (6) are placed between the flanges on the tubes and shoulders on the connecting rings. The inserts transmit the forcr of the screws to the flanges. The inserts are in the form of short conical sleeves. The inner ends of the sleeves which lie against the flanges are toothed. The teeth can bend inward.</p>
