Electromagnetic filter with magnetisable balls - with spider of specified size above bottom disc preventing channelling

Electromagnet filter has magnetisable balls enclosed between two perforated discs within the magnetic field of an electromagnet. Immediately above the lower perforated disc on which the balls rest, an internal spider with radial spokes of specified dimensions is fitted. Arrangement effectively prevents 'channelling' in the bed of balls during the flushing operation which would result in ineffective cleaning.
