A movement installation is used to convey each compartment to a processing unit. The compartments are positioned in spiral shape on the upper side of the horizontal level and round storage plate (1) with a constant distance from each other tangential to the spiral. The movement installation for the storage plate is fitted with a feed element (6) which executes an almost straight line periodic forward movement with a stage length which is equal to or slightly larger than the tangential distance of the compartments. The centre point of the storage plate is freely rotatable and is freely adjustable vertically to the direction of movement of the feed element (6) with the staged movement of the feed element limited by a stop element (14).
