<p>The pneumatic fully lined disc brake is esp. for heavy utility vehicles. It has a dual rotating brake housing, and two single- or multi sectional brake discs, to carry the linings. The discs are fastened in a circumferential direction, but are freely moveable axially, on a stationary brake support. An independent tensioning unit of two rings is positioned between the discs. The engaging rings (27) have Z-shaped cross sections, and pressurised air is supplied into the sealed intermediate space to actuate the brake. The space has seals of synthetic containing carbon, esp. graphite. The seals are positioned in the inwardly facing grooves of the inner ring.</p> |
