PURPOSE:To prevent a copying action from continuing when the copying action is reset without replenishing toner to a developing part by immediately interrupting the copying action when the decrease of the toner is again detected before the number of copies reaches to the prescribed one after the copying action is reset. CONSTITUTION:The toner moves to a second toner quantity condition from a first toner quantity condition. At this time, the toner is replenished by exchanging a toner cartridge 2 so as to attain the first toner quantity condition again and a door cover 1 is opened/closed, these operations are detected by a signal outputted from a limit switch 3 and the copying action in the second toner quantity condition is reset to that in the first toner quantity condition. After that, when the second toner quantity condition is detected by a pressure sensor 1 before the number of copies reaches the prescribed second one, a toner quantity condition is notified to an operator by lighting a lamp and the copying action is interrupted. Thus, the continuation of the copying action is prevented when the copying action is reset without replenishing the toner to the developing part. |
