<p>A spindle is mounted vertically in the housing and a rotor which is mounted on the spindle consists of a hub (2) and an outer plate of conical shape, between which blades (4) are mounted. The blades are built up from at least two surfaces which each make sharp angle with the axis of rotation of the rotor and also make a sharp angle with a radius of the rotor. A guide ring is mounted round the rotor. Air with abrasive material is sucked over the guide ring to the centre of the rotor, after which it is flung down and outward against the surface to be finished. The grit bounces from the workpiece surface and moves again over the guide plate.</p> |
