<p>Cheeses are pressed simultaneously in vessels having a loose cover. Vessels are moved on a conveyor, and pressing elements above the conveyor apply a load to the vessels filled with cheese. Balancing plates distribute the load applied by the pressure sources such as pneumatic bellows, over the covers of a number of the vessels contg. cheese. The machine for pressing the cheeses in vessels the covers of which fit loosely inside them, has a conveyor for supporting and moving the containers through it. The pressing bellows are pref. positioned above the containers and the load is applied through distributing plates balancing out the force applied over the covers of a number of containers. The pressure balancing plates are pref. arranged in parallel. Arrangement ensures application of a pressure corresponding to the degree of filling of the containers. The flanges of the conveyor and the support plate facilitate the collection of whey and cleaning of the machine.</p> |
