<p>The cutting blade for a rotary lawn mower has a body (1) made in moulded plastic, reinforced with glass fibres and resin impregnated. It has a moulded in nut (3) for fixing purposes and two cutting blades (4) are also moulded in. To improve the seating on the nut (3) by the engine drive shaft (5), the nut has channels (6) which give a better hold on the plastic during the moulding process. The engine shaft passes through the seating and is held by another nut (8). The cutting blades are held by slots (9) and plastic, in a similar way and a rib (10) strengthens the structure.</p> |
