<p>The ssoda fountain or drink mixer, in which one or more syrups is diluted with water, has a mixer unit (12) for each syrup, which plugs into a valve (16) on the syrup tank. When a handle is operated, a motor is energised to drive a pump (22) and syrup is drawn through a stop valve (18) in the unit. It is then passed through a line (24) to a mixer chamber (26). At an entry point (41) is a connection for filtered and coded water, followed by a water pressure control valve (38). This has an inner sleeve (54) with a spring (58) inside, acting as a piston inside an outer sleeve (52). A plug (64) at the end adjusts the position of the piston, so that the required pressure is obtained when water flows through holes (57) between the two sleeves. The water then passes through a magnetic valve (36) operated by the pump, to enter the mixing chamber. Another valve (32) is also used in a washing operation.</p> |
